● Silent Comedy Duo "GAMARJOBAT" (Official website: http://gamarjobat.com/en/profile.html)
The red-mohawked Ketch!, who had performed as a pantomime soloist, and the yellow mohawked HIRO-PON made a fateful encounter to form the silent comedy duo in 1999. "Gamarjobat" means "hello" in Georgian. Their highly-acclaimed performance beyond the language and cultural barriers has led to the duo being invited to numerous festivals in various countries, which have amounted to more than 200 shows in 32 countries. Thoroughly-plotted stage acts and lively street shows – both of which their performance revolves around. They are appreciated as artists with worldwide recognition and receive endless requests to get up on the stage from overseas. Domestically, the duo's performance is extremely popular regardless of age in events, TV appearances or commercials as well as festivals and theatrical shows. In addition, they were chosen as one of "the 100 most respected Japanese people in the world" in the Japanese-edition Newsweek magazine. In 2010, they started on the Gamarjobat Project, which is a group of actors who never use words.
