Opening Ceremony of the “Project for Improvement of Sanitation in Ozurgeti Municipality”

  On July 15, 2021, the Opening Ceremony of the ““Project for Improvement of Sanitation in Ozurgeti Municipality” was held in Ozurgeti, which has been implemented within the framework of “Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme” of the Government of Japan. The Ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Imamura Akira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia; the State Representative in Guria, Mr. Giorgi Urushadze; the Chairperson of the Committee on Agrarian Issues Ms. Nino Tsilosani and the Mayor of Ozurgeti Municipality, Mr. Konstantine Sharashenidze.

  Within this project, a waste collection truck and special containers for plastic bottles have been purchased to support Ozurgeti Municipality to move toward garbage segregation and sustainable waste management. Grant Amount 57,329 USD.
