Opening Ceremony of the Project for Construction of Greenhouse in IDP Settlement in Mtskheta Municipality

On July 15, 2022, a Greenhouse was opened in IDP Settlement in Mtskheta Municipality, funded by the Government of Japan, based on the goodwill of the Japanese people. The opening ceremony was attended by H.E Mr. IMAMURA Akira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia; Deputy State Representatives in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, Mr. Gocha Katamadze and Giorgi Kapanadze; Gamgebeli of Akhalgori Municipality, Mr. Nugzar Tinikashvili. Also, representatives of organization “Environment and Development” and the Cooperative “Tsilkani”.
By providing quality vegetable seedlings, the project aims to support the family farmers living in the IDP settlements, also, in Chiatura and Tkibuli Municipalities. The 2000sqm greenhouse will be operated by the cooperative “Tsilkani“ with the support of organization “Environment and Development”. The grant amount: 71, 249 USD.
