Signing of a memorandum of cooperation regarding the establishment of Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) between Japan and Georgia

On September 13th, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Mr. Akira Imamura, and Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Otar Shamgia, signed a memorandum of cooperation regarding the establishment of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM). Under the JCM with Georgia, Japan will cooperate in the field of reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Georgia, contribute to the achievement of nationally determined contributions (NDC) of both countries, and work towards decarburization of the world.
