Opening Ceremony of the Project for Establishing of Multipurpose Cheese Refrigeration Facility in Akhmeta Municipality

On October 15, 2022 the project for Establishing of Multipurpose Cheese Refrigeration Facility in Akhmeta Municipality was opened. The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. Imamura Akira; Governor of Kakheti Region, Mr. Giorgi Aladashvili; Mayor of Akhmeta Municipality, Mr. Aleksi Pitskhelauri; Representatives of organization BRIDGE-Innovation and Development, local farmers and other guests.
By establishing a cheese refrigeration facility in Akhmeta Municipality, the project will support small-scale farmers to package traditionally made cheese and store it in the refrigerator for safety and quality. Consequently, safe and high-quality cheese will increase the selling price and farmers’ income in the end. The project implemented by organization BRIDGE-Innovation and Development, grant amount: 64,151 USD.
