Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Kharagauli Municipality

On November 24, 2022, the grant contract of the Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Kharagauli Municipality was signed, within the framework of Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme of the Government of Japan.
The grant contract was signed by H.E. Mr. Imamura Akira, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia and Mayor of Kharagauli Municipality Mr. Koba Lursmanashvili.
Within this project, heavy machinery will be purchased to clear roads to reduce the vulnerability of the local community to natural disaster and to strengthen preparedness and coping capabilities of the local governments. Grant Amount is 61,864 USD.
