Opening Ceremony of the “Project for Provision of Secondhand Fire Engine for Kutaisi City”

On August 6, 2024, the opening ceremony was held in Kutaisi, for the Project for Provision of Secondhand Fire Engine for Kutaisi City.
The Ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. ISHIZUKA Hideki; Mr. Clemens Von Heimendahl - Country Director of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) of Georgia; Mr. Zviad Shalamberidze – State Representative in Imereti region; Mr. Davit Eremeishvili – Acting Mayor of Kutaisi Municipality; Mr. Vladimer Jghamadze – Head of Imereti Regional Fire and Rescue Forces Department of Emergency Management Service.
Within this project, the secondhand fire-engine was purchased to reduce the vulnerability of the local community to fires, and to strengthen the preparedness and response of the Emergency Management Service of Georgia, benefits approximately 125.600 residents. Grant Amount is 144,117 USD.
