Opening Ceremony of the Project for Rehabilitation of Public School in Zemo Sarali Village in Marneuli Municipality

     On  May 14, 2018, the Opening Ceremony was held in Zemo Sarali village, in Marneuli Municipality, concerning the Project for Rehabilitation of Public School in Zemo Sarali Village in Marneuli Municipality, which has been implemented within the framework of “Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme” of the Government of Japan. The Ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Tadaharu Uehara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Deputy Governor of Kvemo Kartli Region - Mr. Zaur Dargali, Mayor of Marneuli municipality - Mr. Temur Abazov and other representatives of regional and local government.
     Within the project, the Embassy of Japan has provided 82 675 USD for the rehabilitation of the public school in Zemo Sarali village in Marneuli Municipality. This project provided access to schooling for approximately 120 children. The project was implemented by the Society of Democratic Women of Marneuli and the Opening Ceremony was hosted by its Chairwoman – Ms. Olga Endeladze.
