Signing Grant Contract On The Project for Provision of Mobile Library in Autonomous Republic of Adjara Within the Grassroots Human Security Grant Program (GGP) Of the Embassy of Japan in Georgia

On March 17, 2020, the grant contract of The Project for Provision of Mobile Library in Autonomous Republic of Adjara was signed within the Grassroots Human Security Grant Program, funded by the Government of Japan, based on the goodwill of the Japanese people.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Signing Ceremony was not held. The Grant Contract was signed by the Grant Signatories: Ambassador Uehara and Chairman of Board of International Journalists House (IJH) – Mr. Aslan Chanidze. Within the project, mobile library will be purchased for Adjara mountainous regions. The project will provide education opportunities for the children and youth in Mountainous Adjara Region, where access to literature is scarce. Grant Amount is 72,000 USD.
