Signing Ceremony of the “Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Forest Fire Response and Prevention in Adjara”

On November 22, 2023 the grant contract of the Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Forest Fire Response and Prevention in Adjara was signed, within the framework of Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme of the Government of Japan.
The grant contract was signed by H.E. Mr. ISHIZUKA Hideki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia and Board Member of Public interest incorporated foundation "Community and Environment", Ms. Lela Janashia.
Within this project, heavy machinery will be purchased to strengthen the Adjara Autonomous Republic's forest fire response and disaster prevention capabilities. Grant Amount is 69,000 USD.
