Maestro Usui Toshiki’s Piano Concert at the Ambassador’s Residence

On February 10, a piano performance by Maestro Usui Toshiki was held at the Ambassador Ishizuka’s Residence. The concert was attended by the Chairperson of Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament, Mr. Nikoloz Samkharadze (Chair of the Japan-Georgia Parliamentary
Friendship group), Chairperson of the Culture Committee of the Parliament, Ms. Elisso Bolkvadze (Member of the Friendship Group), First Deputy of the Culture Committee of the Parliament, Mr. Irakli Mezurnishvili (Member of the Friendship Group) and other local cultural figures.

On the concert, Maestro Usui performed works by Hirai Kozaburo, Tooru Takemitsu and a great contributor to the promotion of the Western Classical music in Japan, Alexander Tcherepnin. The performance also honored the late Mr. Vaja Azarashvili, a longtime friend of Mr. Usui.
 
This year marks 15 years since the establishment of the Embassy of Japan in Georgia, and we will continue our work to strengthen bilateral relations through a variety of cultural events.
