Opening Ceremony of the Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Kharagauli Municipality

On June 26, 2024, the opening ceremony was held in Kharagauli Municipality, for the Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Kharagauli Municipality.
The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. ISHIZUKA Hideki, the Ambassador of Japan; Mr. Levan Kiknavelidze, Deputy State Representative in Imereti region; Mr. David kiknadze – Deputy Chairman of Kharagauli Council; Mr. Koba Lursmanashvili, Mayor of Kharagauli Municipality.
The project provides one heavy machinery, which will improve the safety of the local population by minimizing the impact of disasters on social infrastructure, contribute to enhanced disaster response capacity and prevention, and improve the living conditions of approximately 18,300 residents. Grant Amount is 61,864 USD.
