Ambassador Ishizuka delivered opening remark at the official opening of exhibition „Ichiro Kikuta - The Spirit of Sumi-e, Japanese ink Painting“

On 3 December 2025, Ambassador Ishizuka Hideki delivered opening remark at the official opening of the exhibition “Ichiro Kikuta: The Spirit of Sumi-e” opened at the Ajara Art Museum in Batumi, which is held in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Georgia and Ajara Art Museum within the framework of the 12th Batumi Black Sea Music and Art Festival, organised by LYRA Foundation. The exhibition showcases 17 Japanese ink and wash paintings by an Okinawan artist Mr. Ichiro Kikuta.

The exhibition marks the first solo presentation by an Okinawan artist in Georgia and will be open until 6 December 2025.
