Book Handover Ceremony to Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University

On February 20, H.E. Mr. Ishizuka Hideki, Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, attended a book donation ceremony at the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Ninety-three books related to Japan in English were donated to the university within the framework of the programme “Read Japan Project”, which aims to promote the understanding of Japan around the world through books. 

 

The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Dr. Tite AroshidzeJapanese language teacher and students studying Japanese. 

 

Following the words of gratitude delivered by the Rector Dr. Aroshidze, Ambassador Ishizuka expressed his appreciation for the university’s cooperation. He also conveyed his hope that the donated books would further enhance interest in and understanding of Japan, and encourage greater motivation for the study of the Japanese language and culture at the university.
