Call for Applications for the Japanese Government Scholarship for 2027 (Undergraduate Students, College of Technology (KOSEN) Students Specialized Training College Students and Research Students)
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) offers scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at universities in Japan as Undergraduate Students, Specialized Training College Students and College of Technology (KOSEN) Students and Research Students, under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2027.
Applicants are required to submit all application documents in both original and digital format to the Embassy of Japan in Georgia by 5th of June 2026.
If there are documents that are difficult to submit by the abovementioned deadline, please contact the Embassy in advance.

Please read respective application guideline carefully, and make sure eligibility and necessary application documents, before submitting the documents to the Embassy of Japan in Georgia.
If your form is incomplete, your application may not be accepted.
Deadline: 5th of June, 2026 (Friday) 17:00 Georgian time (must arrive by this date)

The subject of the email should be “Application: MEXT for Georgian Students 2026”

Selection schedule
1. Written Examination: Late June
2. Interview Examination: Early July
The Embassy will individually notify the successful applicants of the date and venue of the written examination and interview. Please refer to the application guideline for the subjects of the examinations.
