Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2026: JTI Caucasus

On September 24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan announced the recipients of Foreign Minister’s Commendation for the Japanese fiscal year 2026. From Georgia, JTI Caucasus was selected as a recipient for its significant contributions to the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Georgia. 

JTI Caucasus has made significant contributions to the development of Georgia's economy through its business activities as one of the leading Japanese companies since its establishment in 2011. The company has also been committed to sustainable development of local communities through its Community Investment Activities for many years. Furthermore, JTI Caucasus has been actively promoting the friendly ties between Japan and Georgia for many years.

On September 24, Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. Ishizuka Hideki delivered his congratulations on Mr. Thomas William John Adams, the Director of JTI Caucasus through a phone call, praising its longstanding dedication to the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Georgia.  

The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas. The Commendations also aim to promote the understanding and support of the Japanese public for the activities of the recipients.
