Ambassador Ishizuka Attended the Gurjaani Wine Festival 2026

On 10 October, Ambassador Hideki Ishizuka atended the annual “Gurjaani Wine Festival” organised by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
The festival showcased Georgia’s winemaking heritage through exhibitions of rare grape varieties, wine masterclasses, local producers, traditional cuisine and cultural performances.
Alongside products from Georgian wineries, wines from Yoichi Town, Hokkaido Prefecture, were presented at a dedicated stand, where visitors had the opportunity to learn about and taste the wines.
The presence of wines from Yoichi Town at the festival reflected the growing friendship and cooperation between the wine-producing regions of Japan and Georgia.
