Signing Ceremony for “The Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Oni Municipality” within the Grassroots Human Security Grant Program (GGP) of the Embassy of Japan in Georgia

On February 12 2021, the grant contract of “The Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Oni Municipality” was signed within the Grassroots Human Security Grant Program, funded by the Government of Japan, based on the goodwill of the Japanese people.
The Grant Contract was signed by the Grant Signatories: Ambassador Imamura and Mayor of Oni Municipality – Mr.Davit Chikvaidze. Within this project, heavy machinery will be purchased to clear roads to reduce the vulnerability of the local community to natural disaster and to strengthen preparedness and coping capabilities of the local governments. Grant Amount is 56,584 USD.
