Signing Ceremony for “The Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Tsageri Municipality” within the Grassroots Human Security Grant Program (GGP) of the Embassy of Japan in Georgia

On February 12, 2021, the grant contract of “The Project for Provision of Heavy Equipment for Disaster Response and Disaster Risk Reduction in Tsageri Municipality” was signed within the Grassroots Human Security Grant Program, funded by the Government of Japan, based on the goodwill of the Japanese people.
The Grant Contract was signed by the Grant Signatories: Ambassador Imamura and Mayor of Tsageri Municipality – Mr. Avtandil Ugrekhelidze. Within this project, heavy equipment will be purchased to clear roads to reduce the vulnerability of the local community to natural disaster and to strengthen preparedness and coping capabilities of the local governments. Grant Amount is 70,500 USD.
