Opening Ceremony of “The Project for Construction of Storage for Post-harvest for 3 Villages in Tsalka, Municipality, Kvemo Kartli Region”

On November 4, 2020, the Opening Ceremony was held in Tbilisi, concerning “The Project for Construction of Storage for Post-harvest for 3 Villages in Tsalka, Municipality, Kvemo Kartli Region”, which has been implemented within the framework of Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme of the Government of Japan.
The Ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Tadaharu UEHARA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Georgia, Mr. Masataka Obata, Director of Bediani Children Center – Mr. Zviad Khapava, Program Manager of Environment and Development – Mr. Kakha Bakhtadze, Rtsmunebuli (village plenipotentiary) of Village Bareta – Mr. Bidzina Gabuldani.
Within the project, the Embassy of Japan has provided 86,526USD for constructing potato storage at Bareti village in Tsalka Municipality. This project supports local population of environmental migrants to increase their income and at the same time, promotes sustainable usage of water and soil resources.
