Opening Ceremony of “The Project for Provision of Mobile Intensive Care Unit in Telavi, Ambrolauri, Zugdidi and Ozurgeti Municipalities”

   On January 28, 2021, the Opening Ceremony was held in Tbilisi City, concerning “The Project for Provision of Mobile Intensive Care Unit in Telavi, Ambrolauri, Zugdidi and Ozurgeti”, which has been implemented within the framework of “Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme” of the Government of Japan. The Ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Akira Imamura, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in Georgia, Mr. Masataka Obata, Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Tsotskolauri, Director of the Legal Entity Under Public Law Emergency Situations Coordination and Urgent Assistance Center – Mr. Aleksandre Kalandia together with the Deputy Directors.
   Within the project, the Embassy of Japan has provided 290,500USD for purchasing the mobile intensive care units (so-called Reanomobiles) for Kakheti, Racha-Lechkhumi Kvemo Svaneti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Guria regions. This project enabled to significantly decrease the waiting time for emergency patients and to save lives of people with severe medical conditions.
