Opening Ceremony of the Project for Rehabilitation of Multipurpose Agricultural Facility in Akhaltsikhe

On May 24, 2024, the opening ceremony was held in Akhaltsikhe Municipality, for The Project for Rehabilitation of Multipurpose Agricultural Facility in Akhaltsikhe. The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. ISHIZUKA Hideki, the Ambassador of Japan; Mr. Irakli Lazarashvili, Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality; Ms. Nana Zubashvili, Head of Union Samkaro.
 
Within this project, Union Samkaro established agricultural laboratory and rehabilitate a training center for farmers. The laboratory will provide the possibility to test soil, water, and dairy products. This project will help promote ecologically friendly agricultural practices among the local population. This project was developed and will be implemented by the expert involvement of Union Samkaro. The key experts of this organization are JICA alumni who visited Japan and received knowledge about sustainable agriculture. The project funding amount is 71 547 USD.
