Opening Ceremony of the Project for Provision of the First Community Bus in Mestia Municipality

On August 7, 2024, the opening ceremony was held in Mestia, for the Project for Provision of the First Community Bus in Mestia.
 
The Ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. ISHIZUKA Hideki; Mr. Maizer Japaridze – Chairman of Mestia Municipality Council (Sakrebulo); Mr. Kapiton Zhorzholiani – Mayor of Mestia Municipality.
 
Within this project, one large community Bus was purchased, which will operate regularly from 8 am to 8 pm on two routes passing through the centre of Mestia Municipality, providing a safe means of transport and improve the mobility for 600 residents per day to essential services such as hospitals, schools, day care centers, banks, and other facilities. Grant amount: 72,600 USD.
