Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. ISHIZUKA Hideki made a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Kazbegi Municipality, Mr. Bakur Avsajanishvili

On July 20, Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. ISHIZUKA Hideki made a courtesy visit on to the Mayor of Kazbegi Municipality, Mtskheta-Tianeti Region, Mr. Bakur Avsajanishvili, under the theme of “Promotion of Regional Exchange”.
The Ambassador made remarks on the similarities between Japan and Georgia in revitalizing local communities through cuisine, and the significance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. Members of the “Towada Barayaki Seminar”, who also attended the meeting, exchanged opinions with the Mayor about the possibility of future cooperation on the theme of town revitalization.
Through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security “Project for Provision of High Mobility Ambulances in Chokhatauri and Kazbegi Municipalities”, the Embassy provided the municipalities with high mobility ambulances, that can respond to call in mountainous areas.
