Opening Ceremony of the “Project for Providing a Heavy Machinery for Infrastructure Works in Tusheti, Akhmeta Municipality”

On August 20, 2024, the opening ceremony was held in Tusheti, for the Project for Providing a Heavy Machinery for Infrastructure Works in Tusheti, Akhmeta Municipality.
The Ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. ISHIZUKA Hideki; Mr. Aleksi Pitskhelauri – Mayor of Akhmeta Municipality; Mr. Lado Kakhoidze – Director of Tusheti Protected Landscape; Mr. Zurab Babulaidze– Chairman of Tusheti Development Foundation; Rati Kochlamazashvili – Co-founder and Director of Tusheti Development Foundation.
Within the project, Akhmeta Municipality, heavy equipment was purchased to clear roads in Tusheti and increase connectivity and mobility of Tushetians, for access to healthcare and other critical facilities. This project will improve the living environment of 2,800 residents of Tusheti. Grant Amount is 74’400 USD.
