It is known for its lively, exaggerated style and satirical commentary on human nature. Both Noh and Kyogen were inscribed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2008 and some of the actors are certified as Japanese Living National Treasures.
Follwoing the ballet rehearsal of “Serenade” performed by soloists of the State Ballet of Georgia, Mr. Goto Masaaki and Ms. Mariam Eloshvili, Ambassador Ishizuka, together with Ms. Nina Ananiashvili, watched a demonstration of Kyogen.
Ms. Komaki performed one of the Kyogen dances “Komai” for the audiences including Ambassador Ishizuka, and other members of the State Ballet of Georgia. During the master class, members of the ballet troupe also took the stage to follow Ms. Komaki's example and perform Komai dance with Japanese fans in their hands.
