Ambassador Ishizuka delivered opening remark at Maestro Toshiki Usui’s concert at Batumi Black Sea Music and Art Festival 2025
On 3 December, Ambassador Ishizuka Hideki delivered opening remark at Maestro Usui’s concert at Batumi Drama Theatre as part of Japan Day within the 12th Batumi Black Sea International Music and Art Festival.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Ishizuka noted the special significance of Maestro Usui’s return to Georgia, highlighting his friendship with the world-renowned Georgian composer Vazha Azarashvili, whose music he has performed, recorded, and introduced to audiences throughout Japan and beyond. Maestro Usui’s performance included the secret composition by the late Sakamoto Ryuichi, reflecting a deep connection of trust between Japan and Georgia.
