2025/12/22
On December 20, the Annual Meeting of the Japan Study Visits Alumni Association of Georgia was held in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Georgia.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relation between Japan and Georgia, hundreds of Georgians have studied or received training in Japan under various programs such as the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, the programs of the Japan Foundation, and the MIRAI (Mutual-understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative) Program etc. The Association was established in 2011 with an aim of providing former students and trainees with opportunities for sharing knowledge and experience obtained during their study in Japan, and of promoting networking among them. The Association currently has 175 members.
The event was attended by approximately 50 alumni members, who engaged in constructive discussions regarding the future direction of the Association and its upcoming initiatives. The meeting also provided a valuable forum for alumni to reinforce professional and personal networks while exchanging insights in a cordial and collaborative atmosphere.
