Japanese Food Week Held in Tbilisi

Swissotel Tbilisi and Japanese companies, in corporation with the Embassy of Japan in Georgia, officially launched Japanese Food Week on October 31, an initiative celebrating the excellence of Japanese cuisine and culinary culture.
In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, Mr. Ishizuka Hideki, highlighted the growing connection between Japan and Georgia, emphasizing that food culture serves as a bridge between nations, fostering friendship and deepening bilateral relations.
The four days event from 30th October to 2nd November featured Chef Mr. Nakamura Hidehiro, who traveled from Japan to present an exclusive Japanese menu at Swissotel Tbilisi, offering guests an authentic taste of Japan.
Several Japanese companies also participated in Japanese Food Week, showcasing premium ingredients, food products, and various alcoholic beverages especially from Okinawa. Their participation showed their interest to promoting cultural exchange, strengthening business partnerships with Georgia, and supporting sustainable culinary collaboration.
